Destination Nursery…the big reveal

I am indeed grateful for this awesome journey! Being able to design and put together my daughter’s nursery has been inspiring! I am excited to share all of the details… plus more details of how  you can be a winner  of your own dream nursery space!

Destination Nursery started with a desire to help someone…with my love for product design and experience within the children’s industry….I saw an exciting opportunity to help a mom be able to create her dream nursery space.  We would like to give one away every single month!

To begin creating my babies space I knew I wanted a clean white background with some fun pops of color!  My daughter is in love with animals and making their sounds so it was a natural fit to add in  some of her favorites!

Right now I am in love with chalkboard art…so naturally I had to make it a part of this space. Instilling a love for creativity is something I try to do for my children…this chalkboard wall is not only nice to look at but also a fun area where she can draw and play. We used magnetic primer in one area where she too can have fun playing with her animal shaped magnets.

When it came time to finishing the closet I wanted to do something bold and dramatic…it’s amazing what a little paint can do!  It’s probably one of my favorite parts!

  1. i’ve only been a mother for 2 months now, and each day i’m surprised at how easy the love for your child comes. suddenly it’s easy to put yourself second and care for your child first. i love how natural that feels. it has never been something i was really good at before, but i believe children are so special that god made it so easy to love them. thats my favorite part!

    1. Thanks Danielle! That means so much coming from a design expert! Did you get your invite for the launch party it’s going to be fun! hope to see you there 🙂

  2. It’s gorgeous, however, am I the only one that thinks it is odd to have chalkboard dust in a newborn’s room. Hello, allergies!

    1. Thanks Angela…great point and we have thought of everything which is why we used Chalkboard water-paint that is dust-free, it will also wipe off with a wet rag so you can change designs whenever you want! Pretty cool if you ask me…stay tuned for the details on how to make your own in a featured post coming up within the week! 🙂

  3. This turned out so beautiful, Tana! What a fun room you have created. And of course big props to our own Brandalyn for her amazing talent on the chalkboard wall. Great job, my friends! We are proud to be a part of this wonderful project and event!
