  1. My favorite holiday tradition was always waking up Christmas morning to find that Santa had been there… I would always wake my parents up and open my presents right away. The best was when the cousins were in from out of town to celebrate with us. We make sure that we do the same for our kids!!! Always so awesome to see your kids little faces light up when they realize what Santa has left them…

  2. I love that my girls are getting to the age that they want to start doing traditions that we started….like baking Christmas cookies, or driving around and looking at all the lights. Christmas lights are so magical and festive!

  3. My favorite holiday tradition is making ornaments for our tree every year with my boys. This year we made Star Wars ornaments out of baking soda and cornstarch and painted them. It’s fun and gives us something special to do as a family that lasts when we put them up on our tree every holiday.

  4. My two favorite holiday traditions are stockings on Christmas morning and baking christmas cookies as a family. We also purchase or make a family ornament each year to represent a special memory or event from the year.

  5. My favorite holiday tradition is baking cookies for Santa and I’m so excited for this year because my son is finally at an age where he’s excited to help mommy make and decorate them and can! I also love our tradition of attending a huge community event called vine street, where every house for several blocks decorates their houses like crazy, there’s live music, a performance of Scrooge on the deck/lawn of a house, an interactive grinch, and snacks and hot cocoa offered.

  6. This year is my son’s first Christmas and it has been such a blessing & joy to carry on traditions my husband & I have made as well as start new traditions as a family of three. One of my very favorite traditions is bundling up & going to chop down our Christmas tree! Then coming home to decorate it while listening to Christmas music and sipping hot cocoa. It was so much fun this year with our little guy! 🙂 he was a trooper and is in total awe of our Christmas tree! {thank you for this incredible giveaway!}

I think the one I’m looking forward to most is actually christmas night after we come home from driving back and forth across the state to different sides of the extended family I want to have a night with just him and his dad to unwind and read stories and open up our stocking stuffers.

  22. My most favorite tradition is going and choosing our tree, cutting it down and decorating it together. Something we will always do!

  23. My favorite Christmas tradition is something called “rolling the ball” it’s a long fabric strip rolled up and filled with prizes and you sit in a circle and you unroll the “ball” and take a prize then pass it along. Santa also always leaves a treasure hunt for the big present 🙂

  24. A tradition that we have started this year is doing a christmas photo booth for my kids and all of their cousins. We have done it before for birthdays but want to continue with each special occasion that all the kids are together (all of the cousins live in different states! 25. Tradition that we’ve started with our boys is having each one be a christmas angel for another child that is the same age and teaching them the importance of giving.

After that we make cocoa, get in our pajamas and watch The Polar Express together. 🙂 Then my hubby and I stay up til’ 2 a.m wrapping gifts even though we swear we will get a head start next year, every time!:) I guess we secretly love doing that together too!

  27. Favorite holiday tradition is piling all of my parents grandkids into my mini van and singing Christmas carols to the dollar store. When there each kid buys presents for all of their cousins. It’s hysterical! Fake bell peppers, toe nail clippers and qtips have been past gifts. The kids love it and it’s always amusing to see what they pick!

  28. Favorite tradition is heading out with the kids in tow, and going to chop down our own Christmas tree. Next is making gingerbread houses and baking Christmas cookies with my daughters!

  30. My favourite holiday tradition is watching a Christmas movie with my dad, be it The Grinch, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation or Die Hard. 😉

  31. My favorite holiday tradition is on Christmas Eve. I have a huge family with 8 aunts and uncles and 25 plus cousins. The family just keeps growing and growing. Every year since I can remember, my uncle would dress up as Santa and surprise the little kids with presents. I was devastated when I found out it wasn’t actually Santa, but soon got over it and came to adore how thoughtful my uncle really was. He would sit in the Santa costume for hours as he called each one of the family members up to sit on his lap and give them a present. No one was left out. Three years ago, my uncle was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and even when we thought he was too weak, he insisted on dressing up and playing his part. The next year after his diagnosis he passed away and passed on his Santa suit to his oldest son. Now my cousin dresses up every year to keep his memory alive and we plan to pass it on for many more years to come.

  32. We make homeade tamales and have a Christmas piñata and Mexican bread! And always have a white elephant gift exchange with siblings !! As long as family is there, it’s Christmas!
