A perfectly imperfect space….creating the perfect space we have realized will never be! But this one came pretty darn close…thoroughly enjoyed designing + styling with Tana Hallows this fun modern kids space with an added nursery nook, for Beautiful mama Ginger Parrish and her 3 darling boys! We love that she is kind, but most of all REAL…taking a peek into her blessed life was an honor. We could not have asked for a better opportunity to KICK off our fun new Travel Series where we will create a few more spaces this year…then continue in the spring with many more darling mamas from around the GLOBE…Where will be our next destination?! When we were kids, we had a huge playground and sand area beneath. We used to flood the sand area with water, and would pretend we had the beach in our own backyard! We would have all the neighborhood over and it was the best time. I still can’t believe my parents let us do this so often as kids.

My 4th birthday, when my parents got me a John Deer tractor.. I don’t know why, but that birthday is the one that sticks in my memory the most. Weird!

I have a lot of good childhood memories it is hard to pick out one favorite. When my siblings and I were young we once took our neighbors canoe out to the pond behind our house. We spent the whole summer out there.
I can’t leave out all the family road trips we went on! Any time we went into Portland, my dad got us lost lol, but it was always an adventure and we had tons of fun!

My favorite childhood memory is having sock wars with my older brother. Both of my parents worked so my brother got the lovely task of entertaining me and there really is nothing as satisfying as emptying out your sock drawers and pelting each other!
I loved celebrating birthdays in my family! My mom always went all out with the decorations, homemade cakes, and the best parties in our backyard with all our friends and family. Birthdays are just so special and I love them!
Christmas morning! Following the elf footprints to see the crumbs of cookies Santa munched down! Christmas as a child is the most magical! ✨
