Oh no. You know the feeling too well: waking-up in the morning with that tiny, telling tickle in the back of your throat. The one that indicates that you’re in for a fun ride with a cold or the flu. All the while, your three year old is yelling at you to come and wipe his bum and the baby is wanting out of her crib. It’s that kind of day.
Since staying in bed isn’t usually an option, here are two of my favorite homemade go-to’s when I start to feel a bug coming on:
Cinnamon & Honey Tea
-1 tsp Honey
-1/4 tsp Cinnamon
*Mixed into a mug of warm water and sip throughout the day up to 3 times a daily.
Natural Cold Buster
* Not for the weak of heart… or stomach.
-1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
-1/4 tsp Ground Ginger
-1 tab Organic Cider Vineagar
-2 tab Water
-1 tab Raw Honey
Mix well and take one Tablespoon for cough, sore throat and other cold symptoms.
