American Made: featuring Young America

In celebration of the July 4th holiday, we are highlighting some of our favorite American-made brands…we are honored today to feature Young America, a brand of nursery and youth furniture. We have all been fortunate to have this brand involved in our first two Destination Nursery/Kids room make-over’s.  Through first-hand experience we have come to love the quality and style of this brand.  Young America is a Mom’s Best HOT product winner, here are the top 3 reasons why moms love this brand….

As a result of these new standards…Young America stepped right up to the plate implementing these new standards as well as going a few steps further. They decided to cease all of their overseas manufacturing, consolidating their operations to Robbinsville N.C. in 2009.  This bold new move gave Young America complete control over their production as well  as the  ability to offer parents some of the safest furniture they can buy for their child.

Thanks to its made-in-America production, Young America has the most stringent safety standards in the industry – they even surpass federal and JPMA safety standards (the highest standard for the children’s industry).  Some of our favorite safety features of Young America furniture include., Soft-close drawers (no finger pinching),  and anti-tipping kits.

2. Eco-friendly~  Young America is also helping parents create healthier indoor environments for their children by achieving GREENGUARD Gold Certification for its cribs and beds. This indicates that products have been tested for 10,000+ chemicals and have met the most rigorous chemical emission standards in the world. Thus giving all of us parents greater piece of mind.
