MB=Please share with us a few key tips that have helped to make your blog a success?
Work, work and more hard work! In all honesty, it is the countless hours we have put into the site. Before we launched we had a defined plan of what we wanted to create. To be expected, things have evolved as we’ve grown but having a framework to work from has continued to be immensely helpful. I have also been fortunate enough to have the undying support of my business partner, my husband. Having someone with your best interest in mind to bounce ideas off and to help with the overall vision for The Wise Baby has been beyond invaluable.
MB=How do you juggle family and work?
The million dollar question! The juggle of family and work is something I work on everyday. First and foremost, I am mom and a wife. During the day I am with my daughter 100% of the time. All of my work is done during naps and after she goes to bed with a few responses to more urgent emails sprinkled throughout the day. In the evening I try to set aside at least an hour to have dinner or watch a show with my husband (with no technology). We added a few wonderful editors as team members to spread the work load. Having a larger team of people I can count on has made this balancing act much more manageable. Some days, it is easier than others but at the end of the day I thrive on being a multitasking, busy lady.
MB=What inspires you? and what are some of your future goals?
My daughter, husband and all the real mamas out there inspire me. I am motivated by each of the three in different ways which I appreciate so very much. For the future, we look forward to continuing to grow the site so we can reach more expecting and new parents. We have some really exciting things in the works and I can’t wait to see where it all ends up.
