My favorite holiday tradition was always waking up Christmas morning to find that Santa had been there… I would always wake my parents up and open my presents right away. The best was when the cousins were in from out of town to celebrate with us. We make sure that we do the same for our kids!!! Always so awesome to see your kids little faces light up when they realize what Santa has left them…
I love everything! What an awesome giveaway!

My favorite holiday tradition is baking cookies for Santa and I’m so excited for this year because my son is finally at an age where he’s excited to help mommy make and decorate them and can! I also love our tradition of attending a huge community event called vine street, where every house for several blocks decorates their houses like crazy, there’s live music, a performance of Scrooge on the deck/lawn of a house, an interactive grinch, and snacks and hot cocoa offered.
This year is my son’s first Christmas and it has been such a blessing & joy to carry on traditions my husband & I have made as well as start new traditions as a family of three. My favorite holiday tradition is on Christmas Eve. I have a huge family with 8 aunts and uncles and 25 plus cousins. The family just keeps growing and growing. Every year since I can remember, my uncle would dress up as Santa and surprise the little kids with presents. I was devastated when I found out it wasn’t actually Santa, but soon got over it and came to adore how thoughtful my uncle really was. He would sit in the Santa costume for hours as he called each one of the family members up to sit on his lap and give them a present. No one was left out. Three years ago, my uncle was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and even when we thought he was too weak, he insisted on dressing up and playing his part. The next year after his diagnosis he passed away and passed on his Santa suit to his oldest son. Now my cousin dresses up every year to keep his memory alive and we plan to pass it on for many more years to come.
We make homeade tamales and have a Christmas piΓ±ata and Mexican bread! And always have a white elephant gift exchange with siblings !! As long as family is there, it’s Christmas!
