Just ask us we know because we have made it for our last two parties featured here and here…follow these simple steps to create a darling cake for your next big event, or maybe as a sweet treat for the little ones! I think it’s safe to say we are hooked! The best part, you can make it in any flavor!
Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe:
(1) 8 oz. package of cream cheese; room temperature
(1) Stick of unsalted butter; room temperature
2 Tablespoons Pure Vanilla
4-6 Cups Powdered Sugar
Step 1: Beat room temperature cream cheese and unsalted butter together until creamy, add vanilla to the mixture.
Step 2: Slowly add powdered sugar to mixture, one cup at a time, if powdered sugar is too thin, add more. The frosting should be able to form and hold peaks.
Step 3: Slowly add powdered sugar to mixture, one cup at a time, if powdered sugar is too thin, add more. The frosting should be able to form and hold peaks. Add frosting to piping bag, or ziplock bag.
Step 4: Cut end tip of bag, be sure to only cut the first end of the tip, so that it forms a circle. Tip: If you want larger sized “zig-zags” on the cake cut the tip on the bag bigger.
Step 5: Frost a thin layer of frosting around the entire cake, this cake be a semi-smooth coat of frosting on the cake.
Step 6: Pipe “zig zag” shapes, move your hand in an up and down “u-shapped” motion, move the cake around to form the first level. Add more “u-shapped” frosting layers on top of one another!
