Throwing a party can be expensive, especially when your having a party for a ton of guests. Today I’m going to show you some easy money saving DIY’s tips + crafts that will help you add a little money back into your wallet.
First, forget the expensive table clothes, or cheap plastic throw away. Grab a drop cloth from your local hardware store for $7, and tape off a fun simple design and paint away. I happen to have a long table so I cut my table cloth in half to make a simple fun table runner. (tutorial coming soon).
Second, don’t get suckered into buying one time use plates. Use your simple everyday ware, and pick up a fun texture or patterned plate to set on top of your simple china to help add fun texture. I save the china as the main plate, for hefty meal purposed, and add a fun plastic of paper plate as the dessert plate.
Third, instead of picking up cans of soda from the store, try sodas that come in a glass bottle, they add a little fun + retro/vintage touch to the party. Expect the unexpected, keep it simple for you (the host).
Fourth, with a bar or drink cart you can add a fun way for guests to mix their cherry cokes. Read this post for more ideas on what to add to your drink cart.
