Ah…curtains, also known as the icing on the cake, the last detail added to a room that helps make it feel perfect! We’re sharing our Friday Find about some tips and tricks we’ve found while hanging curtains. Super easy tips for your next room make over, what to use and what not to do!

1. Hang them high: sounds crazy right? But my window is like 3′ from the ceiling do I still hang it high? The answer: Yes, absolutely! This helps make the window opening feel bigger.  We all want bigger, brighter windows for more natural light, so fake it a little, no one else will know! Also if you have 8′ ceilings, trust me this make the room feel bigger & the ceilings feel a little bit taller!

2. Roman Shades: Don’t worry these curtains aren’t too fancy, we promise. If you have a small window in a kitchen or bathroom, we absolutely love the tailored look of Roman Shades. Such a clean & classy look. If your wanting a custom look then buy some fabric and have a local seam stress custom fit your windows. 3. Use curtains as a backdrop: This may seem frightening at first, but adding these curtains adds texture and a focal point to a room. Whether your putting your bed in front of a window or not, adding curtains adds depth and layering to the room. Another option place a cute headboard to go in front of it. 4. Layer it!: Now put those two fabulous types of curtains and layer it! Romans + full high curtains. This look is absolutely gorgeous for any type of window. The roman shades allow for privacy during the night hours and the full height curtains add depth. Photo source.
