sweet pink valentines partyTip 1: Keep it simple, when there are lots of little ones running around, throw everything in a box, basket, or some sort of container.  Easy, practical, useful, + darling at each place setting. These can also second as your centerpiece.

Tip 2: Layer. Layer all those goodies, find some simple white serving pieces,  and little  bowls, etc., fill them with your treats,  layering them on the table.  This helps to create a styled look but in a simple easy way.

Tip 3: If you are looking to save a little time and money, go to your local bakery or grocery bakery section, pick up some baked treats.  Maybe some little cherry pies for $.98 cents, heart marshmallows, mini donuts…just get plain and you can have the kids add the frosting and sprinkles as an activity (same with plain sugar cookies).  These little treats are easy, kid friendly, and don’t take up your time in baking!

Tip 4: Simple backdrop. Have an extra string of lights hanging around, perhaps from Christmas? Well bust those babies back out.  Don’t over think a backdrop…it can be as easy as hanging Christmas lights, or globe lights, like we did in the photo, into a heart shape!  Just adhere them to a wall with some clear scotch tape.

So have fun! Keep it simple, layer, and check your local bakery!  I also recommend Kate Aspen for your party supplies + check out your local dollar section, for any additional supplies.
