DIY rainbow cake toppers + magically delicious cake!
You can create festive and fun cake toppers for st. patty’s day using simple craft items and a few steps:
– cut cloud shapes from white felt – be sure to cut 2 layers of felt at one time so that each cloud will be the exact same shape.
– cut ribbon strips in rainbow colors – we went with a pastel color palette to match our charm-ing cake colors!
– also cut strips of gold sequin ribbon (available at most craft stores)
– using a simple stitch or even using a glue gun to close the top seam, stuff each cloud with a bit of cotton or other filling
– add on either the rainbow or sequin ribbon coming from the bottom of the cloud. you can customize in many ways with the lengths of the ribbon or even alternating colors and sequin ribbon in the same cloud.
– also be sure to put the wooden skewer through the bottom seam before closing it up
– then you’re ready to put them into a cake or let kids play with them

Use a simple funfetti cake, ice it and then place lucky charms marshmallows all over , a little or a lot. you can start with just a mosaic pattern on the sides of the cake or go full blown with magical treats all over the cake!
