Getting kids to eat healthy can be a challenge…giving funny names to foods works wonders as well. For example, spaghetti squash in our home is ‘monster hair’ and green smoothies are ‘ninja turtles secret ooze’.  Have them involved in cutting, prepping, taste testing and if you can have a little garden and have them involved. Here are a couple of my favorite simple kid friendly recipes…

1. sweet potato baked fries with a little salt and pepper for seasoning, cooked at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.

2. Raw Natures Caramel Bliss Balls

(2) 8 oz. Packages of Pitted Dates
2 Tablespoons of Water
1 Cup Coconut Sugar OR 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup & Eliminate Water
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 – 1.5 Cups Mulberries (Or Rice Krispies or Oats)
1/4 Cup Coconut Shreds

Chop dates until sticky and mix in water and coconut sugar, coconut, and mulberries.
Once combined, roll into balls and roll in coconut shreds.
Store in airtight container in refrigerator
Great as a snack!
