Growing up in Utah I (@tanahallows) learned to ski at the age of 14…many many times I have wanted to share my love of skiing with my family. For whatever reason it just never worked out until now! Determined to make this be the year, it all started by me giving my son the Ski Utah 5th Grade Passport for Christmas. This passport gives your child the opportunity to ski up to 3 times at each of the Utah Ski resorts for only $35. He was over the moon when he received this gift…he then asked when can we start using it!? This inspired me to figure out a way to not only get him up on the slopes but my other children as well. With a little careful planning I finally figured out a way to make it all happen! A HUGE thanks to Brighton Ski Resort for also helping make this DREAM a reality!

3 things we loved about Brighton Resort:
1.Brighton is a family-friendly resort…this year they brought back their 10 and under ski or ride for FREE! They also dedicated 2 days to learning to ski or ride for free in December. They also offer some awesome package deals for lessons + lift tickets for only $99. No excuses now mom’s and dad’s with littles under 10….now is the time to get your kids up on these slopes as they will ski or ride for free! I really wish I could have done it like 5 years sooner! But it’s really never too late I always say…and even if you are an experienced skier yourself, they offer ski lessons for all types.
2. Amazing staff + instructors! Every person we encountered had a love for Brighton + skiing or snowboarding that really shone through. From the friendly staff that took extra special care in setting us up with our ski and snowboard equipment to the passionate instructors that seriously made lessons for my first timers awesome!!
3. Exceptional lifts and Terrain. Some of the best I have ever seen….with 6 lifts and 66 trails Brighton caters to skiers and riders of all levels. I especially loved how they offer a discounted pass called the learner pass available for only $40…this will allow you as a parent to be able to stay on the 2 smaller lifts with your new little skiers. While not having to pay the full price for lifts you won’t be riding. Brighton thinks of everything!
All in all it was an amazing experience to watch each one of my kids pick up skiing and snowboarding for their very first time! We are excited to return to Brighton again…stay tuned for our next featured resort…coming up in a few short weeks.
