Chocolate covered strawberries are a loved classic that are surprisingly super simple to make and take no time at all! If you have kids, have them join in! It’s a lot of fun to make together. Maybe a little surprise for a special someone, even if that special someone is you!! 😉
Ingredients: 1 pound (about 20) strawberries with stems, washed and dried very well
6 ounces semisweet vegan chocolate, chopped.
Directions:
Rinse, drain and pat completely dry.
Put the semisweet vegan chocolate into heatproof medium bowl.
Fill a medium sized saucepan with a couple inches of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Turn off the heat and set the bowls of chocolate over the water to melt. Stir constantly until smooth.
Once the chocolates are melted and smooth, remove from the heat immediately.
Now you are ready to dip!
Line a sheet pan with parchment or waxed paper. Hold the strawberry by the stem and dip the bottom half of each strawberry in the melted chocolate and twist the strawberry so that the bottom half is covered
Set strawberries on the parchment paper and let cool.
Repeat until you are out of strawberries or chocolate!
*Where to find vegan chocolate? Many grocery stores now carry a dairy nut free chocolate chip and if not many health food stores carry a variety in the bulk section. You can buy vegan chocolate bars but they are about 5 times more expensive!
Okay yum!! Great recipe.
These look so good!!
