We started this series on our instagram a while ago called #wisdomwednesday.  Where we share an inspiring quote along with a simple thought.  But today I wanted to share a few more in depth thoughts here on the featured quote we shared on instagram today. It’s something I feel strongly about…as I have seen it happen over and over again throughout my business career…
dont-be-a-flake-We all know those people that tell you they are going to do something and then at the last minute cancel.  (Flake out)  Or the ones that say “i’ll call you later” or  “let’s meet up” but never really have the intention of meeting because they don’t set up a specific time to meet and then ignore you.   You know what i’m talking about?  Maybe you’re the one giving the excuses.  Whichever side you are on it’s not good for anyone and especially in business.

Where are the leaders that will follow through, cause a man’s word these days just does not mean as much as it did 10, 20 even 30 years ago.    It comes right down to INTEGRITY…be honest with yourself and with others.   Don’t be a flake,  JUST SAY NO and save yourself the stress of having to avoid things, if your over scheduled then don’t plan it!   But keep in mind being overscheduled will not bring you success.  It’s time to take a good hard look at your schedule and decide what really needs your focused time and attention, then get rid of all the rest. Focus on the essential and get rid of all the non-essential. You will be surprised at how much more successful you will be by focusing your energy on a lot less!

LESS really is MORE and fine tuning that focus will bring you GREATER CLARITY & more SUCCESS.   Not to mention a lot less stress!  Having success in life and business cannot be achieved by trying to do it all.  I mean, it’s not even humanly possible to do it all!  In reality there are only a certain number of hours in a given day…and success is not going to magically happen all in one day.  It takes consistent planning and consistent work.  As well as learning to say NO from the start…

I’ve heard many excuses, and life does happen, but who isn’t BUSY…so instead of making another excuse, just say NO!  But if you do say YES…KEEP YOUR WORD!

Please share your thoughts in the comments below….do you think this is a problem in our day? in business? in the blogging world?   Do you struggle with saying NO? we would love to hear your thoughts… 🙂
