This is our favorite time of year…spring flowers, little chicks, & bunnies means Easter is right around the corner! It’s literally just a few short weeks aways! To kick off your fun Easter celebrations, these cookies are sure to be a crowd pleaser! You can have fun making them with your kiddos! Rolling out the dough, cutting out the cookies, dipping them in frosting, & the best part, adding the sprinkles! Although we all love a yummy bag of animal crackers these homemade ones have got them beat by far! Details and recipes below!
Recipe
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
6 tbsp butter, very soft
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Frosting
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
Cream ingredients together
Directions:
Sift together all dry ingredients, cream butter and sugars together. Add egg + other liquids. Once creamed add dry ingredients in slowly
Bake for 6-8 minutes at 375 degrees or until edges are golden, rotate in between.
